2009-06-12 An e-mail from Colleen Conley of RI Tea Party
Thanks to you all, The Gaspee Tea Party was an incredible success and a great opportunity to
learn about the many areas in which the General Assembly can cut spending instead of raising
taxes on already overburdened Rhode Island taxpayers.
But our work is not done! Please
contact your State Representative and State Senator and demand that they take the following
actions to put our state on the road to fiscal sanity.
1) Say Yes to Legislative
Commission recommendations for Pension Reform (Articles 31 and 32 in Supplemental Budget)
2) Say Yes to Require 25% minimum health insurance cost share for all education and
municipal employees (Article 44)
3) Say No to Senate Bill 0713 which allows Unions to do
an end run around taxpayers by allowing for never ending contracts.
Please go to
www.riteaparty.com and click on Take Action to contact
your elected leaders. They will be voting to raise our taxes this month and need to hear from
each and every one of us that we demand fiscal responsibility. Let's focus our message on these
three reforms to save our state millions of taxpayer dollars. I am counting on all of you; it
is only by acting together that we can make a diffference to save our state!
Best
regards,
Colleen Conley RI Tea Party

2008-03-07 Partial Transcript of the January 28th Town Council Meeting
This is a partial
transcript of the January 28th town council meeting. The meeting was an action packed
event. Amongst other interesting developments, Mr. Katzman apparently learned a brand new word
that week, "ludicrous,"
and takes every opportunity to use it. Well worth the read and an eye opener on some council
members' distain for the community they claim to serve.
